Sunset Sail

“Sunset Sail” was a fun collage art piece that I created. A simple abstract done well. One of my art instructors told me that simple done well can make a big impression.

Defective Plate

“Defective Plate” has a design that is a little off center, but still is a beautiful collage art piece. I learned to go with the flow because of my limited eye sight.

Grand Pansy

“Grand Pansy” is the original collage art piece that I used for one of my cards. This piece took 75 hours for me to create. I used various collage papers and embroidery thread for this collage art piece.

Spring Bouquet

“Spring Bouqet” has a painting of stemless flowers that I did before I created the collage layer. The collage colored pieces were from a box of very old cards that my father-in-law had.(Sold)

Mod Red

“Mod Red” is a smaller collage art piece which has a photo cut into pieces. I used black cardboard, black velvet paper and red satin paper to finish off this collage.(Sold)

2006 Honorable Mention - VSA arts of Wisconsin

“Spring Greens” is a prized collage art piece which took me 20 hours to create. I was happy to receive an Honorable Mention Award from the Very Special Arts of Wisconsin for this collage art piece.

Midnight Sun

“Midnight Sun” was created by my desire for totally blind people I know to experiece my collage art. This art piece is done in 3-D. First I painted the canvas background dark blues. The sun is a wood circle I painted then collaged over. The sky is magazine pieces. The hills were created from beige cardboard. I finished off the piece with wood strips and a burnt sienna border that I painted.(Sold)

Stained Glass Art

“Stained Glass Art” has an unexpected surprise of the green beads that glow in the dark. I didn't know this at the time I was creating this collage art piece.
