Collage art involves the pasting of various materials on a flat surface. The word “collage” is taken from the French word “coller”, which means to paste or glue. Collage art is different from other art forms because it doesn't dictate any particular style.
The purpose of collage art was to give the idea that different textures can be placed into a composition to express multiple realities. Mixed media is often used to create collage art.
Montage collage is a single pictorial composition made by superimposing many pictures or designs. The artist combines diverse photographic images to create a new look.
